Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

  • Arrival Time (TBD): Our representative will welcome you at Kathmandu Airport and transfer you to your hotel.
  • 6:00 PM: Evening briefing about your tour. For late arrivals (after 4:00 PM), the briefing will occur the next morning during breakfast. Any pending payments will be settled during the briefing.
  • Note: If you arrive early and have free time, optional sightseeing can be arranged based on your preferences.
  • Meals: Not included.

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing & Flight to Pokhara

  • 7:30 AM: Post-breakfast, embark on a half-day tour visiting Pashupatinath Temple and Jal Narayan Temple. Our transport will pick you up from your hotel. Start at Pashupatinath Temple, a revered Hindu site dedicated to Lord Shiva, featuring a four-faced Shiva lingam and numerous shrines. Explore the temple’s vibrant surroundings along the Bagmati River. Next, drive 9 km (approx. 30 minutes) to Jal Narayan Temple, home to a striking reclining statue of Lord Vishnu in an open-air setting, revered by Hindus and Buddhists alike.
  • 1:30 PM: Transfer to Kathmandu Airport for a 30-minute flight to Pokhara. Upon arrival, our local representative will escort you to your hotel.
  • About Pashupatinath Temple: A 5th-century sacred Hindu site on the Bagmati River, it’s the largest Shiva shrine with 492 temples, 15 Shivalayas, and 12 Jyotirlingas. Non-Hindus can view the temple from the river’s eastern bank. No entry fee for Indian nationals.
  • About Jal Narayan Temple (Budhanilkantha): Located 8 km north of Kathmandu at Shivapuri Hill’s base, this open-air temple features a large reclining Lord Vishnu statue on a bed of serpents, significant for both Hindus and Buddhists.

Day 3: Helicopter Trip to Muktinath & Pokhara Sightseeing

  • 7:00 AM: Fly from Pokhara to Muktinath via chartered helicopter. Spend approximately 1 hour at the sacred Muktinath Temple, taking a holy bath in the 108 waterspouts and two ponds. Enjoy lunch at nearby restaurants.
  • 1:00 PM: Return to Pokhara, refresh, and begin a half-day sightseeing tour. Visit Davis Falls (Patale Chhango), a mesmerizing 500-foot-long waterfall. Next, explore Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, a 3-km-long cave with a Lord Shiva statue and views of Davis Falls cutting through it. Continue to Bindhyabasini Temple, dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati (Durga), and witness local rituals. Finally, take a boat to Taal Barahi Temple on Phewa Lake, where you may catch the evening aarti.
  • Evening: Relax by the lakeside, explore Pokhara, and enjoy dinner with lake views.
  • About Muktinath Temple: Located at 3,762m in Mustang, this Vishnu temple, sacred to Hindus and Buddhists, is one of the 108 Divya Desams and a tantric site. Nestled amidst the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, it offers breathtaking views.
  • About Pokhara Sites:
    • Davis Falls: A 500-foot-long waterfall named after a tragic incident in 1961.
    • Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave: A 3-km-long cave with natural water features and a Shiva statue.
    • Bindhyabasini Temple: A hilltop shrine dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati.
    • Phewa Lake & Taal Barahi Temple: Nepal’s second-largest lake with a pagoda-style temple on an island, reflecting Mount Annapurna.

Day 4: Flight to Kathmandu & Sightseeing

  • 10:00 AM: After breakfast, fly back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, proceed directly for sightseeing. Visit Patan Durbar Square (6 km from the airport, 20-minute drive), a UNESCO site showcasing Newari architecture, including the Keshav Narayan Temple and Krishna Mandir. Then, walk a few minutes to Shree Baglamukhi Temple, dedicated to Goddess Baglamukhi, a two-story pagoda-style shrine bustling on Thursdays.
  • Evening: Check into your hotel and explore Thamel’s vibrant markets for shopping or dining.
  • About Patan Durbar Square: A historic site with palaces, temples, and courtyards, reflecting 17th-century Newari craftsmanship.

Day 5: Departure from Kathmandu

  • Optional Activity: Opt for the Everest Mountain Flight at 6:30 AM, a 1-hour aerial adventure showcasing Mt. Everest (8,848m), Lhotse (8,516m), Kanchenjunga (8,586m), and other peaks.

General Information

Tipping
Tipping is not mandatory but appreciated in Nepal. A suggested tip is INR 300 per day per traveler for the driver and guide if they accompany you throughout the trip. For restaurant meals, a 10% tip on the bill is customary.

Visa Requirements for Indian Citizens
No visa is required for Indian citizens traveling to Nepal. Acceptable identification includes:

  • Emergency or Identity Certificate from the Embassy of India, Kathmandu
  • For travelers above 65 or below 15 years, documents like PAN card, driving license, or ration card with a photo are sufficient.

  • For families traveling together, one adult with a valid ID (as listed above) is sufficient, provided other members carry photo IDs proving family relation (e.g., ration card, school ID).

  • 30+ days before tour start: 20% cancellation fee
  • 15-29 days before tour start: 30% cancellation fee
  • 7-14 days before tour start: 60% cancellation fee
  • 6 days or less/no-show: 90% cancellation fee
