Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

  • Arrival Time (TBD): Our representative will greet you at Kathmandu Airport and transfer you to your hotel.
  • 6:00 PM: Attend an evening briefing about your tour. For late arrivals (after 4:00 PM), the briefing will be held the next morning during breakfast. Any pending payments will be collected during this time.
  • Note: Early arrivals with free time can opt for additional sightseeing based on your interests.
  • Meals: Not included.

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing

  • 10:00 AM: After breakfast, enjoy a full-day tour visiting Pashupatinath Temple, Jal Narayan Temple, Swayambhunath Stupa, Patan Durbar Square, and Shree Banglamukhi Temple. Our transport will pick you up from your hotel.
    • Begin at Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred Hindu site dedicated to Lord Shiva, featuring a four-faced Shiva lingam and numerous shrines along the Bagmati River.
    • Drive 9 km (approx. 25 minutes) to Jal Narayan Temple (Budhanilkantha), an open-air shrine with a large reclining Lord Vishnu statue, revered by Hindus and Buddhists.
    • Visit Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple, a hilltop site symbolizing Hindu-Buddhist harmony. Climb steps to reach the stupa, surrounded by smaller temples and monasteries.
    • Have lunch at a nearby restaurant during the tour.
    • Continue to Patan Durbar Square, a UNESCO site showcasing Newari architecture with temples, palaces, and courtyards like the Keshav Narayan Temple.
    • Conclude at Shree Banglamukhi Temple, a short walk from Patan Dhoka, dedicated to Goddess Banglamukhi, bustling with devotees on Thursdays.

  • About the Sites:
    • Pashupatinath Temple: A 5th-century Shiva shrine with 492 temples, 15 Shivalayas, and 12 Jyotirlingas. Non-Hindus can view it from the Bagmati River’s eastern bank. No entry fee for Indian nationals.
    • Jal Narayan Temple: Located 8 km north of Kathmandu, it features a serene Vishnu statue on a bed of serpents.
    • Swayambhunath Stupa: A 2,500-year-old Buddhist shrine blending Hindu and Buddhist elements.
    • Patan Durbar Square: A historic hub 6 km southeast of Kathmandu, known for its 17th-century pagoda-style temples.

Day 3: Drive to Pokhara

  • 8:00 AM: After breakfast, embark on a 201-km drive to Pokhara (6-7 hours). En route, opt for a cable car ride to Manakamana Temple, dedicated to Goddess Durga Bhagwati, believed to fulfill heartfelt wishes. The cable car offers scenic views, and lunch is available near the temple.
  • Upon arrival in Pokhara, check into your hotel and relax or explore the city.
  • Note: Manakamana cable car tickets cost INR 670 per person for a round trip, payable in advance or at Kurintar base station.
  • About Manakamana Temple: Located in Gorkha district, its name derives from “Mana” (heart) and “Kamana” (wish), symbolizing wish fulfillment.
  • Meals: Breakfast included.

Day 4: Flight to Jomsom & Drive to Muktinath

  • 6:30 AM: Take a 15-20-minute flight from Pokhara to Jomsom. Check into your Jomsom hotel, have breakfast, and drive 23 km (1-2 hours) by private jeep to Muktinath.
  • At Muktinath, walk 30 minutes from the jeep park to the temple or hire a pony (INR 600 for a round trip, self-arranged). Explore the sacred site, take a holy bath in the 108 waterspouts and two ponds, and have lunch at nearby restaurants.
  • 2:00 PM: Drive back to Jomsom for an overnight stay. If time permits, visit the Mustang Eco-Museum near the airport to see Tibetan artifacts or walk to Dhumba Lake (3.6 km, 2 hours), known for its natural and religious significance.
  • About Muktinath Temple: Located at 3,762m in Mustang, this Vishnu temple is sacred to Hindus (one of 108 Divya Desams) and Buddhists (a tantric site), set against the stunning Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.

Day 5: Flight to Pokhara & Sightseeing

  • 6:30 AM: Fly back to Pokhara and have breakfast.
  • Note: Early hotel check-in depends on room availability (standard check-in is 2:00 PM).
  • 11:00 AM: Begin a half-day sightseeing tour:
    • Visit Davis Falls (Patale Chhango), a 500-foot-long waterfall with a tragic history.
    • Explore Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, a 3-km-long cave with a Lord Shiva statue and views of Davis Falls.
    • Head to Bindhyabasini Temple, a hilltop shrine dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati (Durga).
    • Take a boat to Taal Barahi Temple on Phewa Lake, where you may witness the evening aarti.
  • Return to your hotel. In the evening, stroll along the lakeside, enjoy dinner, or soak in Pokhara’s serene vibe.
  • About Pokhara Sites:
    • Davis Falls: Named after a 1961 incident, it runs 100 feet underground.
    • Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave: Features natural water formations and a Shiva statue.
    • Bindhyabasini Temple: A sacred site at 3,000m for Goddess Durga devotees.
    • Phewa Lake & Taal Barahi Temple: Nepal’s second-largest lake (4.43 sq km) with a pagoda-style temple and Annapurna reflections.
  • Note: Pokhara-Jomsom flights depend on weather. If canceled, a private 4WD jeep will be arranged, with costs adjusted based on group size.

Day 6: Drive to Kathmandu

  • 8:00 AM: After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu (6-7 hours), with a lunch stop en route.
  • 4:30 PM: Upon arrival, freshen up. Optionally, visit Pashupatinath Temple for the evening aarti, where priests perform rituals with oil lamps amid a divine atmosphere. Alternatively, explore Thamel’s markets for shopping or dining on your final evening.
  • Meals: Breakfast included.

Day 7: Departure from Kathmandu

  • Enjoy breakfast and free time until your departure. Our transport will escort you to Kathmandu Airport 3 hours before your flight.
